Hi! Cute creature! You got shapes and shadows mostly right. What you could improve is not just changing lightness but also hue and saturation of the color when picking one for shadows and highlights. When you look at the green part, you stayed within same hue and saturation range (see A) that is why it looks so muddy and flat. During paintover I moved across hue spectrum choosing more cooler colors for shadows and more warm for highlights (see B). There is an article about it in Artwod blog this week - I would check it out. I also upped saturation overall because I think such a cute drawing would profit from it.
